About the treatment.
How do aligners work?
Aligners are clear, removable trays that move your teeth step by step. You wear each set for about 1–2 weeks, then switch to the next. Your 3D treatment plan shows the full journey — from your current smile to the end result — before you start.
Who is suitable for treatment?
Aligners suit mild to moderate issues like crooked teeth, gaps or relapse after an earlier brace. The dentist makes the final evaluation during the clinical check.
I'm an adult — is it too late for straight teeth?
Not at all. Teeth can be moved at any age — most of our customers are adults between 20 and 50.
How long does treatment take?
Most treatments take between 3 and 14 months, depending on complexity and compliance. GO takes up to 3 months, Flex up to 6 (extendable to 8), Pro up to 14.
How many hours per day do I wear them?
Aligners should be worn 20–22 hours per day for optimal results. You take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush.
Do aligners hurt?
You may feel mild pressure when starting a new set — that means it's working. It's normal and usually fades within a few days.
Will people notice I'm wearing aligners?
Rarely. The trays are made of clear material and sit tightly on your teeth — most people won't see them unless you point them out.
Is a dentist involved?
Always. We work with licensed dentists, and your check-ups take place at the dental office — just like any orthodontic treatment.
What if my teeth don't move as planned?
Your progress is monitored during check-ups. If adjustment is needed, extra aligners can be made — with Pro, refinement is included in the plan price.
About pricing.
What does treatment cost?
Our plans have fixed prices: GO €1200 (up to 3 months), Flex €2400 (up to 6 months, extension to 8 months +€200) and Pro €2900 (up to 14 months). Published prices apply to treatment in the Netherlands.
Are all costs included?
Yes — the plan price is fixed and includes your aligners and the dental treatment costs (code F471A). You receive the dentist's invoice via the practice and get that amount back as a refund. With Flex and Pro, retainers are included too.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Via Alma you pay in 2, 3 or 4 instalments — interest- and cost-free. Longer financing is possible via SprayPay (12% annual interest and BKR registration; both are waived if you repay in full within 30 days). Acceptance is handled by these providers.
Is it covered by insurance?
Basic Dutch health insurance doesn't cover orthodontics for adults. With a supplementary dental or orthodontic policy you may be able to claim part of the costs using the dental invoice (code F471A) you receive from us.
Why does the 3D treatment plan cost €100?
The intake consultation is free. If you'd like a full 3D treatment plan made, we charge €100 — a "free" plan just means a higher treatment price to compensate. The fee is deducted from your plan price if you start treatment.
Do these prices apply at the partner clinics abroad?
No — published prices apply to treatment in the Netherlands. Our partner clinics in Romania, Spain and Germany set their own local pricing; ask the clinic for a quote.

How do I book an appointment?
Book your free intake online — pick a SmileStudio and a time that suits you. The consultation takes about 30 minutes and is without obligation.
What happens during the intake?
We look at your smile, discuss what you'd like to change and whether aligners are suitable. You'll see what's possible and get a clear, fixed price — you decide afterwards, in your own time.
Where are the SmileStudios?
We have six SmileStudios across the Netherlands, including Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Den Haag, Amersfoort and Tilburg, plus partner clinics in Romania, Spain and Germany.
How quickly can I start?
After your scan it takes about 1–2 weeks to prepare your 3D treatment plan. Once you approve it, your aligners are made within 3–4 weeks.
About aftercare.
Are retainers included?
With Flex and Pro, yes — a set of retainers is included to hold your new smile in place. GO focuses on the correction itself; retainers can be added anytime through our Bite Club subscription.
What happens when I finish treatment?
You'll wear retainers to keep your new smile in place — mostly at night. With Bite Club you receive fresh, custom retainers automatically every 6 or 12 months.
Will retainers stop my teeth shifting back?
Yes — retainers hold your alignment in place. Teeth naturally want to drift back, so wearing them as advised is key to preserving your result.
What's included in Bite Club?
Professionally made retainers from €91, replaced automatically every 6 or 12 months, made from your existing records — no new scan needed. Pause or cancel anytime.
What if I lose or damage an aligner or retainer?
Contact us — replacements can be made from your existing treatment records, so you're usually back on track within a few weeks.
Can I whiten my teeth as well?
Yes — at the end of your treatment we can make custom whitening trays with a mild peroxide gel, based on your final 3D scan. Not suitable for under-18s, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
